Contributes with protective equipment

At the time when Danish healthcare was in an acute shortage of protective equipment against Covid-19, DTU Nanolab saw it as an obvious act to contribute.

One of our contributions to reduce the impact of the corona crisis was to deliver protection materials to the health care sector. Thus, we have delivered approx. 10.000 gloves and approx. 50 plastic aprons with sleeves to Roskilde Hospital, which serves as a distribution hub for the other hospitals in the Zealand Region.

“When we were contacted by Purchasing in Region Zealand, we went through our options and found that we had a significant amount of gloves on stock, suitable for the health care sector. Vally, who keeps track on our stock, found several boxes of gloves, of a model that were previously tested at our facility as part of changes in the supply chain. We also had aprons on stock that were no longer to be used in the cleanroom as we found a more suitable model for our needs, “says Anders Skjoldager-Gregersen.

Due to the help from more than 2.000 companies and institutions like DTU Nanolab the situation in the Danish healthcare has now stabilized regarding protective equipment.
