Accompanied guests

Guests in the Cleanroom

If you are a trained user of DTU Nanolab's cleanroom and need to bring a guest into the cleanroom, you must report to a Nanolab employee. The person in charge will check that the guest has a professional reason to enter the cleanroom (research partnership or the like). If the guest has a valid reason to enter and maximum needs to enter 2-3 times, the guest may be allowed an exemption from the cleanroom course.

DTU Nanolab does not allow visits from family or friends to trained users of the cleanroom.

Access

To gain access, the trained user must sign an access agreement which clearly stipulates the trained user's responsability for the guest as long as the person in question is inside the cleanroom.

The access agreement states the following:

  1. the guest has watched the safety videos and read the safety instructions
  2. the trained user has the full responsibility for the guest as long as the person in question is inside the cleanroom
  3. the trained user cannot leave the guest alone inside the cleanroom at no point
  4. in case the evacuation alarm gets activated, the trained user must assist the guest to exit the cleanroom
  5. the guest is not allowed to use any equipment
  6. the guest is not allowed to handle any wet chemistry
  7. violation of the above mentioned regulations will lead to dismissal from the cleanroom.

The administration will then issue a temporary access card which is limited to the time needed.

Price

The guest or trained user will be charged a fee to enter the cleanroom. An invoice will be sent when the temporary access card is issued.
