In situ electron microscopy

In situ electron microscopy at DTU Nanolab covers capabilities of studying samples in presence of gas (up to 1 bar), samples in liquid phase as well as electrical biasing and heating. In addition to the dedicated Environmental TEM at DTU Nanolab, we have a variety of sample holders that are designed for specific in situ purposes.

  • Heating holders (Furnace and MEMS based holders)
  • Cooling holders (Liquid Nitrogen based)
  • Closed cell holder for heat treatment in high pressure gas (~1bar)
  • Holder for heating, electrical and electrothermal analysis
  • Various Liquid cell holders for TEM and SEM
